Homemade Oatmilk

Be your own barista and DIY oatmilk. Homemade oatmilk is easy enough that you can whip up a batch of homemade oatmilk anytime the craving strikes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup Quick-Cooking or Instant Oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • No soaking necessary: Blend the oats, water, maple syrup, and
    salt. Strain through a nutmilk bag or cheese cloth lining a colander.






  • Store in a quart-sized glass mason jar. Seal and chill.

Notes

TOASTED OATMILK: Before blending the oatmilk, toast the oats in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until aromatic and nutty.
CHOCOLATE OATMILK: Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder to the blender. Adjust sweetener and salt to taste.
CINNAMON OATMILK: Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon to blender. Swap in 3 pitted dates in place of maple syrup.
